MOYEGO – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Effective Date: 9 July 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms & Conditions govern all direct vehicle rental services provided by Moyego and the use of the Moyego website.

By making a reservation or renting a vehicle from Moyego, the renter agrees to these Terms & Conditions, the booking confirmation, the selected insurance or protection package, and the Rental Agreement applicable to the rental.

2. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

The renter and all additional drivers must:

  • Be between 21 and 65 years of age.

  • Have held a valid driving licence for at least two (2) years.

  • Present a valid driving licence and passport or national ID card.

  • Hold an International Driving Permit where legally required.

Only drivers listed in the Rental Agreement may drive the vehicle.

Moyego may refuse a rental where these requirements are not met, false or incomplete information is provided, or required documents are not presented.

3. RESERVATIONS AND VEHICLE AVAILABILITY

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Moyego.

A reservation is confirmed only after Moyego issues a booking confirmation.

Moyego aims to provide the reserved vehicle model whenever possible. If the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable due to breakdown, accident, maintenance, late return, safety concerns, or other operational circumstances, Moyego may provide a similar vehicle from the same category or a vehicle from a higher category at no additional rental charge.

Essential booking characteristics, including automatic or manual transmission and required seating capacity, will be respected where confirmed as part of the reservation.

Colour, registration number, engine specification, equipment, and other non-essential characteristics may differ.

4. VEHICLE COLLECTION AND RETURN

At collection, the renter must present the required identification and driving documents and inspect the vehicle for any unrecorded pre-existing damage.

For airport Meet & Greet reservations, the renter must provide accurate flight details where requested.

The vehicle must be returned:

  • On the agreed date, time, and location.

  • With the same fuel level as received.

  • With all keys, documents, accessories, and equipment supplied with the vehicle.

  • In substantially the same condition as received, excluding reasonable wear and tear.

  • Clean enough to allow a proper vehicle inspection.

A cleaning fee of €10 may apply where additional cleaning is required due to excessive dirt, mud, or sand.

Smoking residue, burns, heavy stains, pet hair, or other conditions requiring specialist cleaning or repair may be charged at the reasonable actual cost incurred.

The renter remains responsible for damage, fines, penalties, missing equipment, or other liabilities arising during the rental period even if identified after the vehicle has been returned.

Where damage cannot reasonably be identified during the immediate return inspection, Moyego may notify the renter after return and provide reasonable supporting evidence of the damage and any related charges.

Where the vehicle is returned outside agreed operating hours or through an unattended return procedure, the renter remains responsible for the vehicle, its keys, documents, and equipment until the vehicle has been recovered by Moyego and a reasonable opportunity for inspection has occurred.

5. VEHICLE USE AND DRIVER CONDUCT

The renter must use the vehicle responsibly and comply with all applicable laws and traffic regulations.

The vehicle must not be:

  • Driven by an unauthorised driver.

  • Used for illegal activities, racing, drifting, competitions, speed testing, or driver training.

  • Driven recklessly, dangerously, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited substances.

  • Driven off-road, on beaches, riverbeds, mountain tracks, flooded roads, construction sites, or unsuitable terrain.

  • Used for towing, sub-rental, commercial transport, or transferred to another person without prior written authorisation from Moyego.

  • Taken outside authorised countries or transported by ferry without prior written authorisation.

Dangerous driving, reckless driving, or excessive speeding constituting a material breach of the Rental Agreement, where supported by GPS data, vehicle telematics, police reports, or other reliable evidence, may result in a €150 administrative charge and termination of the rental.

If Moyego has reasonable evidence that the vehicle was driven by a person not authorised in the Rental Agreement, a €150 administrative charge may apply.

These charges are separate from fines, damages, recovery costs, or other liabilities resulting from the breach.

6. ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND MECHANICAL ISSUES

The renter must not open the bonnet or engine compartment, add fluids, carry out repairs, maintenance, mechanical inspections, or attempt any mechanical intervention without prior authorisation from Moyego, except where expressly instructed by Moyego or where intervention is carried out by emergency services or authorised roadside assistance.

If a warning light appears or a mechanical problem is suspected, the renter must contact Moyego immediately and stop driving where continued use may cause further damage or create a safety risk.

Damage resulting from unauthorised intervention, incorrect fuel or fluids, continued driving after a serious warning, or failure to follow Moyego’s instructions is not covered by any insurance or protection package.

7. INSURANCE AND PROTECTION PACKAGES

The applicable insurance or protection package is confirmed during booking and in the Rental Agreement.

Super CDW and Ultra Full Protection are optional contractual protection products. The renter is not required to purchase either product in order to rent a vehicle from Moyego, provided the renter accepts the liability applicable under Basic (TPL) and the Rental Agreement.

No security deposit is required unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing for a specific rental.

7.1 Basic (TPL) – Included

Basic (TPL) provides Third Party Liability insurance in accordance with applicable law and the underlying insurance policy.

Basic (TPL) does not include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and does not cover damage to the rented vehicle.

The renter remains responsible for damage to the rented vehicle, subject to applicable law, the underlying insurance policy, and the Rental Agreement.

7.2 Super CDW

Super CDW provides protection for covered accidental damage to the vehicle body, windows, headlights, taillights, and accidental external damage to wheels and tyres.

Tyre punctures, cuts, normal wear and tear, damage caused by driving on unsuitable roads or terrain, and damage resulting from misuse or negligence are not covered.

The renter’s maximum liability for covered damage is limited to a damage excess (franchise) of €300 per incident.

No security deposit is required.

7.3 Ultra Full Protection

Ultra Full Protection provides Moyego’s highest level of protection for covered accidental damage to the vehicle body, windows, headlights, taillights, and accidental external damage to wheels and tyres.

Tyre punctures, cuts, normal wear and tear, damage caused by driving on unsuitable roads or terrain, and damage resulting from misuse or negligence are not covered.

The damage excess (franchise) is €0 for covered damage.

No security deposit is required.

Ultra Full Protection is a contractual protection product and does not provide unlimited coverage. It remains subject to all exclusions, conditions, reporting requirements, and renter obligations stated in these Terms & Conditions and the Rental Agreement.

All insurance and protection packages remain subject to the exclusions, conditions, reporting requirements, and renter obligations stated in these Terms & Conditions and the Rental Agreement.

The applicable price of optional protection packages is shown during booking and confirmed in the Rental Agreement.

8. INSURANCE AND PROTECTION EXCLUSIONS

No insurance or protection package covers loss, damage, or costs resulting from:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited substances.

  • Intentional damage, dangerous or reckless driving, or gross negligence.

  • Driving by an unauthorised driver.

  • Off-road driving or use on prohibited or unsuitable terrain.

  • Racing, drifting, competitions, speed testing, driver training, or illegal use.

  • Unauthorised towing, sub-rental, commercial use, or transfer of the vehicle.

  • Incorrect fuel or fluids.

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged keys, remote controls, immobilisers, or vehicle documents.

  • Interior damage, smoking or vaping damage, burns, or damage caused by misuse.

  • Unauthorised repairs, maintenance, opening of the engine compartment, or mechanical intervention.

  • Continued driving after a serious warning light, accident, or mechanical fault where continued use could reasonably cause further damage.

  • Failure to follow Moyego’s reasonable instructions.

  • Unauthorised cross-border travel or ferry transport.

  • Failure to report an accident, theft, fire, vandalism, or damage as required.

  • Failure to obtain or provide an official police report where required.

  • Material breach of these Terms & Conditions or the Rental Agreement.

Where an exclusion applies, or where damage, loss, or costs are otherwise the renter’s responsibility under these Terms & Conditions or the Rental Agreement, the renter may be responsible for the full resulting damage, loss, repair, replacement, towing, recovery, storage, and other reasonably incurred costs.

Where the vehicle cannot reasonably be rented due to damage for which the renter is responsible, Moyego may also recover reasonable and demonstrable loss of use for the period reasonably required to repair or replace the vehicle, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. ACCIDENTS, DAMAGE, AND THEFT

In the event of an accident, collision, damage, theft, attempted theft, fire, or vandalism, the renter must:

  • Stop the vehicle where required and where it is safe to do so.

  • Take reasonable measures to prevent further damage or loss.

  • Notify Moyego immediately.

  • Contact the police or other competent authorities where required.

  • Obtain an official police report where required.

  • Provide accurate information, photographs, documents, and other available evidence.

  • Cooperate fully with Moyego, insurers, authorities, and claims procedures.

  • Not admit liability, settle claims, make payments to third parties on behalf of Moyego, or authorise repairs without Moyego’s approval.

In the event of theft, the renter must immediately notify Moyego and the police, cooperate with the investigation, and return all available vehicle keys and documents to Moyego.

Failure to follow these requirements may result in loss or limitation of insurance or protection coverage.

An Accident Handling Fee of up to €150 may apply per accident case where Moyego incurs reasonable administrative, claims-handling, or operational costs, as permitted by applicable law.

The Accident Handling Fee is separate from the applicable damage excess and any other amounts for which the renter is responsible.

10. TRAFFIC FINES AND PENALTIES

The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking penalties, speeding offences, toll charges, road charges, administrative penalties, and other violations arising during the rental period.

The renter remains responsible for such amounts even where Moyego receives notice after the rental has ended.

Moyego may provide renter or driver information to competent authorities where legally required and recover unpaid amounts and reasonably incurred administrative or enforcement costs where permitted by law.

11. FUEL AND MILEAGE

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received.

The renter is responsible for using the correct fuel type.

Damage or costs caused by incorrect fuel are not covered by any insurance or protection package.

Unlimited mileage is included for rentals within Albania unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation or Rental Agreement.

12. CROSS-BORDER TRAVEL AND FERRY USE

Cross-border travel is permitted only with prior written authorisation from Moyego.

Approved countries are:

  • Kosovo.

  • Montenegro.

  • North Macedonia.

The applicable cross-border fee and any required Green Card, insurance certificate, or other documentation will be communicated during booking or confirmed by Moyego in writing.

The renter remains responsible for complying with all border, customs, insurance, road tax, toll, and local legal requirements.

Unauthorised cross-border travel may invalidate insurance or protection coverage and may result in the renter being held responsible for resulting damage, loss, recovery costs, or other expenses.

The vehicle must not be transported by ferry without prior written authorisation from Moyego.

13. BREAKDOWN ASSISTANCE

In the event of a breakdown, warning light, tyre issue, or suspected technical fault, the renter must contact Moyego immediately and follow Moyego’s instructions.

The renter must not arrange repairs, towing, replacement parts, open the engine compartment, add fluids, or attempt mechanical intervention without prior authorisation, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect life or prevent imminent serious harm.

Where a breakdown results from normal mechanical failure and is not caused by misuse, negligence, prohibited use, or breach of these Terms & Conditions, Moyego will arrange reasonable assistance.

Where a breakdown or damage results from misuse, negligence, prohibited use, or breach of the Rental Agreement, the renter may be responsible for assistance, towing, recovery, repair, and related costs.

14. LATE RETURNS AND RENTAL EXTENSIONS

The renter must return the vehicle on the agreed date and time.

Any rental extension requires prior approval from Moyego and payment of the applicable additional rental charges.

Keeping the vehicle beyond the agreed return time without authorisation constitutes a breach of the Rental Agreement.

Where the vehicle is returned late without prior approval, the renter may be charged for the applicable additional rental period and reasonable costs directly resulting from the late return, including disruption to a confirmed subsequent rental where such costs can be demonstrated.

15. LOST KEYS, DOCUMENTS, VEHICLE ABANDONMENT, AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

The renter is responsible for reasonable replacement, programming, locksmith, towing, and recovery costs resulting from lost, stolen, or damaged keys, remote controls, immobilisers, vehicle documents, or equipment supplied with the vehicle.

The vehicle must not be abandoned without Moyego’s authorisation.

The renter may be responsible for reasonable towing, recovery, transportation, storage, and related costs resulting from abandonment.

Moyego is not responsible for personal belongings lost, stolen, damaged, or left inside the vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

16. CHILD SEATS AND OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

Child seats and optional equipment may be provided upon request and subject to availability.

The renter is responsible for checking suitability and ensuring correct installation and use in accordance with applicable law.

The renter must return optional equipment in the condition received, excluding reasonable wear and tear.

Loss of or damage to optional equipment may be charged to the renter.

17. CANCELLATIONS, NO-SHOWS, EARLY RETURNS, AND REFUNDS

For direct bookings made through Moyego:

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund of prepaid rental charges paid directly to Moyego.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time are non-refundable.

  • Where no prepayment has been made, no refund is due. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in Moyego refusing future reservations.

  • No-show reservations are non-refundable.

  • If the customer fails to arrive within two (2) hours of the scheduled pickup time without prior notice, Moyego may treat the reservation as a no-show and release the vehicle.

  • Confirmed flight delays will not be treated as a no-show where Moyego received accurate flight details in advance and the customer remains reasonably contactable.

  • No refund is provided for unused rental days following a voluntary early return.

If Moyego cannot provide the reserved vehicle or a reasonably suitable similar or higher-category replacement, prepaid amounts paid directly to Moyego for the affected rental will be refunded.

Bookings made through brokers, travel agencies, booking platforms, or other third parties are subject to the cancellation, amendment, payment, no-show, and refund conditions applicable to the relevant booking provider.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider, card issuer, bank, or other financial institution.

18. PRIVACY AND VEHICLE DATA

Moyego processes personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be processed where reasonably necessary to manage rentals, verify identity and driving eligibility, process payments, recover amounts due, protect and recover vehicles, investigate accidents or material breaches, handle insurance claims, comply with legal obligations, and enforce the Rental Agreement.

Where vehicles use GPS or telematics, relevant data may be processed for vehicle security, theft prevention, vehicle recovery, operational management, accident investigation, and investigation of suspected material breaches, as permitted by applicable law.

19. FORCE MAJEURE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Moyego is not responsible for delays, cancellation, vehicle unavailability, or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, fire, flooding, strikes, government restrictions, border closures, civil unrest, major infrastructure failure, or similar events.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moyego shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the rental service.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

20. TERMINATION AND VEHICLE RECOVERY

Moyego may terminate the Rental Agreement and require immediate return of the vehicle where the renter materially breaches these Terms & Conditions or the Rental Agreement, uses the vehicle unlawfully, provides false information, fails to make required payments, or creates a serious safety or property risk.

Where the renter fails to return the vehicle following lawful termination, Moyego may take reasonable and lawful steps to recover the vehicle.

The renter may be responsible for reasonable recovery, towing, storage, and related costs resulting from the renter’s breach.

21. GOVERNING LAW, SEVERABILITY, AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms & Conditions and the Rental Agreement are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Albania.

Any dispute shall be subject to the competent courts of the Republic of Albania, subject to any mandatory consumer protection or jurisdiction rules that apply.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms & Conditions, the booking confirmation, the Rental Agreement, the selected insurance or protection package, and any specific written terms agreed between Moyego and the renter constitute the agreement applicable to the rental.

In the event of a conflict between general website information and the specific written terms confirmed in the booking confirmation or Rental Agreement, the specific terms applicable to the rental shall prevail, subject to mandatory law.
